The Three Sisters

In a fantastical world, the characters of The Three Sisters escape their dreary and isolated life by dreaming of returning to Moscow. This production was directed by Igor Golyak at Northeastern University.

Set inside of a Russian candy wrapper, this production had a unique touch of whimsy and I was encouraged to work outside the box on many of the material choices for these costumes.

This was especially true for the costumes in the masquerade birthday party that the older sisters threw for Irina.

A character that was unique to this production was a physical representation of Moscow. The character design here required close collaboration with the director as it was born from his imagination and understanding of the Chekov world.
